Vegan Cauliflower Burger with Panko Crumbs

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked Cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1 cup Rice panko crumbs
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Italian spice mix
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Za'athar spice mix (Optional)
  • 1 tsp Cajun powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt as per taste

Step by step photo recipe to make Vegan Cauliflower Burger:



  • Boil the cauliflower till its cooked or microwave for 6 - 7 minutes. Wrap the cooked cauliflower in a kitchen paper towel and microwave for another minute to remove excess water.
  • Mash the cooked cauliflower and add all the spices. Add salt and mix well.


  • Next add 1/4 cup of all purpose flour and mix well.

  • Shape the cauliflower mixture into patties and coat them with the remaining all purpose flour.



  • In a separate bowl add 2 - 3 tbps of all purpose flour and about 1/4th cup of water. Mix well and make a smooth paste.
  • Gently dip the patties in the flour paste and coat them with rice panko crumbs.


  • Heat 3 - 4 tbsps of oil on medium heat and pan fry the cauliflower patties until they turn golden brown on both sides.



  • Assemble the burger with fresh veggies, vegan mayo, and vegan cheese slice!
